How might we help restaurant owners increase foot traffic?

About the Project

Diners are frustrated by long wait times at some restaurants, while other restaurants struggle getting customers

Through a survey launched to better understand diner sentiment, we found 50% of diners surveyed would be less likely to go to a restaurant knowing the wait is long and 49% of diners find waiting to be frustrating.

What if we could solve for both problems? Enter Gourmer

By combining these insights, we identified an opportunity to address long restaurant wait times while simultaneously helping struggling restaurants. We validated this hypothesis by observing that 39% of waiting diners would be willing to go to another restaurant if offered a discount.

Gourmer helps aspiring restaurants list special offers to attract customers, while diners can decide where to eat by viewing wait times and offers

Gourmer helps diners plan their next restaurant outing so they don’t have to wait for a table. With Gourmer, diners can review live wait times for the trendiest restaurants, letting them decide if they want to wait. If not, Gourmer helps them discover hidden gems with a bargain.
